For our latest Ring Kring was a speech about everyday conversations by Jojo Ruba
Jojo Ruba is a well known Christian speaker from Calgary albert who specializes in talks about LGBTQ but also specializes in talking about Christian living and how to talk to others, like the speech that he gave us last April.
"Christian historian, Larry Hurtado asked how the early church grew despite the persecution it
faced. His answer was that the church created a loving community that was more inviting than
any other community of that time. It also stood for the truth of the claims of Christ. In this
presentation, we discuss a third tool the church used that it needs to return to today: the
power of everyday conversations. He explains how God uses ordinary people in ordinary
conversations to do extraordinary things. In doing so, we show why Christians needs training in
everyday conversations in order to live in a hostile western society."

To Sum up in short what we learned from Jojo, he spent his time focusing on Matthew 19:16-22, the story of the rich young man.
"16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions."
The reason Jojo talked on this verse of the bible specifially is because of how Jesus talked to the rich young man. He didn't send him away saying that he was too greedy or too pompous but he looked at him with love just like how we are, even if we disagree with peoples opinions, we are to show love to all.
As a direct quote from Jojo
"You need to love the person, not typically their ideas"
